About Me

I am ghanashyam, a free thinker, technology enthusiast, design engineer, traveler...

Profession & Interests:
I am hardware designer by profession. Over the years, I have been involved in a lot of hardware software design for high performance networks & computing architectures.

Though I am involved in designing and studying hardware architectures, the other side of me excessively is tech savvy. Having an open mind for software development, I like to have my forte in software programming.. I am just about "Okay" with software programming...

My Web2.0 Presence
Where I live:
I am natively from Manipal, a coastal town of Karnataka state INDIA. With a beautiful lake, Manipal is a serene place to live at and is also called the University town, with a lot of educational institutions. I currently work in Bengaluru.

Outside of work:
I have spent quite some years of my professional life in Manipal, when I am not working, I used to spend some time at the beach flying kites once in a while, drive alongside the beach or walk to the riverside, take a boat ride. I love traveling alone, visit and talk to different people. It is always nice traveling in trains, and buses when you get to meet new people.

In Bangalore, I occasionally go watch a live play in a theater, ride on my bike exploring the food joints...

Apart from these, I like pencil sketching and water color paintings.. I like all kinds of music but cant get to stick to one genre for long time. My playlists are random.. I like playing football and I can say am quite above average at playing caroms.

Currently Reading:
I am reading two books, both of which are refreshing and give you a lot of insight into things which are just taken as true in normal life.

1. God Delusion - Richard Dawkins : A wonderful book on how _God_ is being used by some people to control the thinking and practices of other people. Richard Dawkins is one of the most renowned biologists in the world and an advocate of the Darwins Theory.

2. Surely, You're Joking Mr. Feynman : This book is a chronicle collection of short stories and events in the life of one of the most revered physicists of the 20th century, Dr. Richard P Feynman. The book just gives you an insight on how to look at life, people, study, relationships and just think and be your way. Feynman was an extraordinary gentleman and his way of thinking was supposedly the most ideal way to look at things, straight without doubt and always curious to know stuff.
